Cooking: Menu of the day, everything from Kuala Kedah

Our journey started yesterday after we left my sister’s house in Kulim for my parents house in Alor Setar. On the way back, we stopped by a small town called Kuala Kedah to pick up my father at the Kuala Kedah jetty. He took a ferry from Langkawi Island after finished his work in Langkawi. Then, we decided to buy some fish as the clock showed it is 6pm, and there are lots of stall selling fresh fish and crustacians. We end up buying crabs, large prawns, udang ketak (donno how they called it in English), Ikan Siakap (seabass), ikan kembong, kerang (cockle). All of them are fresh. They are so cheap. We got the large prawns (at the size of my palm) at RM35/kg. Udang ketak at RM3/kg. Siakap (seabass) close to 2kg at the price of RM30.00. Here are some snapshots taken while the transaction is ongoing.
